Reduced Requirements For Home Sites By Smorris2012.I would love to see more animations from facilities in the SoD2 regarding the facilities such as sparring at the Dojo (or combat training facility whatever the name may be), inventory checking at the Armory or Workshop, playing video games now that we know there is an XBOX Easter Egg in there, and just general interactions say between the characters who relieve each other such as in the Watchtower or Medical Area. This is another far-fetched idea however I found it rather annoying that I could look at certain facilities in the original like the Dojo and not see ANYBODY using the equipment. This one is seriously out there I know however the theory of mine was small extensions, taking from Metal Gear Survive somewhat as you extend your Home Base out from a small camp into a formidable defensive location, such as maybe creating another watchtower or building out from an existing structure (like how Lily said they could do with her Dad's proposal at the Church). Vehicular damage seems to be a good way to deal with zombies, however why not have the ability if you have the means to repair damage to the engine and such to reinforce them as well, such as with window screens or ram guards? Now that you have to worry about fuel too wouldn't you want to stuff that truck to the brim with your acquired goodies?
Sorry but in a bed like that, given its size, you could easily double if not triple that number and just have the characters prioritize sitting in the cab. But it still doesn't mean I was annoyed that by default a modern short-bed truck could only fit 6 rucksacks in the first game. I'm not saying give me something like a Juggernaut Suit from the Call of Duty series, but something like what you see on riot police or modern military even some of the gear from the Rainbow Six Vegas series seems feasible. Never really struck me why a bunch of survivors wouldn't want something like the military plate carrier to prevent those pesky Zeds from biting and clawing you apart. I'm a sucker for the idea of using military gear, even scavenged, as a means to survive. I mean, I know it seems stupid, but washing those by hand would remove most of the threat of infection through absorption by the skin. I never understood why after killing some of those Armored Zeds or SWAT Zombies that your survivors never re-purposed some of that gear. That was one thing that I absolutely fell in love with the original game was the absolutely HUGE selection of weapons you could come across. If they aren't already in the game at launch that is. which for some reason I found to be very pleasing to use. The guns from the first game, and the special items seen in YOSE, especially the Sparta Sword. Will it be more friendly than the first game to modders? Will we be able to freely change and create our own characters and introduce weapons to the game? Here's what I would love to see. What I wanted to do though was open up a few topics to discuss among my peers who are looking forward to State of Decay 2. Surviving in the original and YOSE (yes, I bought both) was a blast and now here's what we know we can do. So looking back at what we have seen thanks to the IGN First Look having a month-long special and the bits of video and media that Undead Labs has given us I can say that I am actually insanely excited for State of Decay 2.
